Welcome, Principal Lehman!
Dear Centreville High School Community,
The Region 4 Office is pleased to announce that Mr. Chad Lehman, currently principal of Luther Jackson Middle School, has been named the new principal of Centreville High School. His official start date will be January 14, 2019.
Mr. Lehman brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Centreville High School. Mr. Lehman began his FCPS career as a health and physical education teacher at Chantilly High School in 2001 and served until his appointment as an instructional specialist in 2007. In 2009, Mr. Lehman became assistant principal at South Lakes High School, leading the School Improvement Plan Committee, initiating and facilitating numerous staff development opportunities, as well as supervising the teacher mentor program. In July 2014, Mr. Lehman began his leadership role at Luther Jackson Middle School, where he served until the present time. At Luther Jackson Middle School, he implemented multi-tiered systems of support in collaboration with the administration and instructional support staff to more effectively meet the needs of students.
Mr. Lehman is a strong instructional leader who believes in promoting best practices for teaching and learning. He builds relationships with staff, students, parents and community members. He has demonstrated his strong ability to create, support and maintain a positive and collaborative culture wherever he has worked. Mr. Lehman looks forward to meeting with students, faculty, staff, families and the community.
Mr. Lehman earned his Bachelor of Science at Pennsylvania State University, his Master of Science at James Madison University, and his Master of Education at George Mason University. Throughout his tenure with FCPS, he remained abreast of the latest trends in education and teacher leadership by attending workshops and becoming well rounded in all aspects of best practice instruction.
