Congratulations to English Teacher Jennie Hwangpo who was recognized as the July/August FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 4 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Hwangpo!

Below is the write up submitted by Marissa Perrone, a colleague of Ms. Hwangpo at Centreville High School.

As the yearbook sponsor, I was tasked with preselling yearbooks at our Back to School Festival. It’s our biggest sale night of the year. This year, one of my students got sick, and another had to leave early, so it was just me and an extremely long line of parents. Jennie saw me struggling, and she dropped everything to help, first going up to my room to grab more receipt books that I needed, and then sitting down with me to sell the yearbooks. Jennie is a perfect example of a person who is always willing to help someone in need. She always has the best interest of our school in mind, and she goes out of her way to be kind and supportive.
