Graduation Venue and Date

  • Date: June 5th 
  • Ceremony Start Time: 2:00pm
  • Student Arrival: Students must be in line to be checked by security by 12:45pm
  • Guest Arrival: Guests may enter after 1:00pm
  • Location: Eagle Bank Arena at 4500 Patriot Circle, Fairfax, VA 22030
  • Dress Code: Professional Attire
  • Graduation Rehearsals:  At CVHS--Wednesday, May 31st & Thursday, June 1st 
  • Senior Picnic: Thursday, June 1st (after practice)
  • Vertical Celebrations at elementary and middle schools:  Friday, June 2nd

Photos: Legacy Studios is excited to photograph the Class of 2023's graduation ceremony!  Each individual's graduation portraits will be available to view and order online.  Here are a few tips for accessing your images: 

  • All images will be posted to our website within 5 days of your graduation ceremony. 
  • Images can be accessed via this link: Legacy Studios Events or by going to events.legacystudios.com.
  • Please use code 4530E23 to view your images on the website. 
  • Please note that if your images have not been uploaded to the site yet, when entering that code you'll receive a 'Gallery not found' notification.  Please allow 5 days after graduation before trying to access your images to avoid any frustration. 
  • All ordered graduation pictures will be shipped directly home, not returned to the school. 
  • Pre-ordering is not available for graduation portraits. 
  • For assistance with questions or ordering, please contact Legacy Studios directly at @email or 716.512.6336.  Please do not contact the school. 

Graduation Day - Modified Schedule for Grades 9-11 

Students in grades 9-11 will attend a shortened school day until 10:30 am on Monday, June 5th. 

Graduating seniors (grade 12) do not attend school on Monday, June 5th, but should report to EagleBank Arena by 12:45pm.

Graduation Rehearsals

All students are required to attend rehearsals.

1st Rehearsal: Wednesday, May 31st 9am-12pm 

2nd Rehearsal: Thursday, June 1st 9am-12pm 

  • There will be a senior picnic and fun events after the 2nd day of practice
  • Caps and gowns will be handed out on day 2 of graduation practice

Senior Picnic and Field Day

Thursday, June 1st after Graduation Rehearsal ends (around 12pm), seniors are invited to attend an outdoor barbeque in the stadium (weather permitting) with CVHS staff to celebrate their accomplishments and last few days together. There is no additional cost for students to attend. Hotdogs, burgers, veggie burgers, chips, water, and popsicles will be provided. There will also be a field day with games and sports at the stadium courtesy of the CVHS SGA.  

Senior Sunset

Friday, June 2nd there will be a senior sunset at the CVHS stadium. Popsicles will be provided and the event will take place from 7:30-9 pm. Parents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer for this event and sign up using the link provided https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/9040c45a5ac2aa13-senior 

All Night Grad Party

The ANGP will be held at Dave and Busters from 8pm - 1am on June 5th.  Tickets are now available and can be purchased on the PTSA website here. Permission form is available here.

Senior Yard Signs

Yard signs for graduates are available for purchase on the PTSA website. Yard signs can be picked up in the main office if you bring in proof of purchase.

Vertical Celebrations

If you went to elementary or middle school in the Centreville Pyramid, your former school(s) can’t wait to celebrate this huge accomplishment with you. Please wear your cap and gown on your visit (caps & gowns will be distributed at Graduation Rehearsal June 1st). Students may also wear t-shirts under their gown that celebrate their post-secondary plans including college, trade school, military or their Class of 2023 Senior t-shirt.

Migrating your Google Drive

As you prepare to graduate from FCPS, it’s important to know that your FCPS Google Workspace account will be automatically deactivated the day after your last full day of enrollment. Once your account is deactivated, you will not be able to log in to your FCPS Google account or access your FCPS Gmail.

It is important that you download any files you wish to keep before your last day of school in FCPS.

Instructions for downloading your Google data are on the Google Workspace Information for Students and Parents page of the FCPS website. Please work with the tech support team at your school if you have questions.

Senior Dues 

Seniors can now pay their senior dues via their MySchoolBucks account. Senior dues are $100 and are required for all. All dues should be paid by June 1.

To pay your dues: 

Log-in to MySchoolBucks 

  1. Click on ‘School Store’ 
  2. Click ‘Browse all items’
  3. On the next screen, look for Class of 2023 Dues. Click ‘View Details’. 

  4. Select a student. Then “Add to Cart”

Cap and Gown Orders

All seniors should fill out the Class of 2023 Graduation Form. 

Caps and gowns will be ordered through Jostens and are paid for through your senior dues. They will be distributed at the end of the year during graduation practice.  

Reading of Names at Graduation

Please take a moment to record your name as you want it read at graduation using the links below. Click the link for your last name as it is listed in our database (and/or your assigned School Counselor). This will save us a lot of time at practice and ensure your name is read correctly at graduation. 

Optional Orders Through Jostens

Jostens has set up a CVHS school shop where you can place additional orders for graduation announcements, class rings, and more. These additional purchases are entirely optional.

Ordering the Senior Panorama

The Centreville High School Class of 2023 senior panoramic group picture will be available to view and purchase online after Nov. 10th . All orders will be shipped directly to the student.

To order:

  1. Go to Legacy Studios Events and enter code: 4530E23.
  2. Next select the Senior Panoramic gallery. 
  3. Select the image you'd like to order.

Senior Privilege

All teachers may choose to release seniors 5 minutes early on Fridays only. This is optional and based on the teacher (not Administration). If you are released early, you must exit the building and should not be hanging out in the hallway.
