Library Policies and Procedures

Circulation

  • Materials check out for three weeks and may be renewed. Students do not need to have a book with them to have it renewed. There is no limit to the amount of material that can be checked out to a student.

  •  Lost books are charged their full price plus a processing fee. Please see the library staff if you have any questions. If a student is unsure about the status of their account, they should feel free to stop by the library anytime to review it.

Policies

  • Students are welcome in the library before and after school without a pass. During classes, students must have a library pass signed by a teacher.

  • Students may visit the library during their lunch period. Students should eat first and then come to the library. No food should be consumed in the general library, though covered drinks are welcome.

  • All library users have the right to enjoy this community space comfortably. Please use headphones if listening to music, be respectful of personal space, and practice appropriate behavior.

  • If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to the librarians! The library is a community space designed to reflect all the needs of Centreville High School students and staff.
