Last Day for Seniors

Seniors are expected to attend classes and take senior exams which continue through the month of May ending with Graduation Rehearsals May 31st and June 3rd.

    • Practice followed by the senior picnic

    • Practice; caps and gowns will be distributed, CVHS Grad Walk at 11:30am
Graduation Walks

Graduates should wear their cap and gown on their visit and plan to arrive early. Parking may be limited. Students are responsible for their own transportation and are encouraged to attend the elementary schools they went to. All are welcome at Liberty Middle School, even if you went to a different elementary or middle school.

Friday, May 31st after graduation practice @ CVHS Football Field 11:30am-1:00pm 

Enjoy lunch with the Class of 2024! Hotdogs, burgers, veggie burgers, chips, and water provided. There will be games, a giant obstacle course, bounce house, and more!

Senior Sunset

Tuesday June 4th at 6:30 pm on the football field. 

Hotdogs, Hamburgers, and light refreshments provided by the Athletic Boosters and PTSA.

Senior Laptop Return
Information for Chromebook collection

Please note that Laptop returns are only available BEFORE and AFTER Graduation Practice (not during) at the Tech Office (room 100) by the art hall.

All seniors must return their laptops and chargers before receiving their cap and gown!

Seniors may return their laptops on the following dates and times: 

  • Thursday, May 30th after senior exams from 9:30am - 3:30pm

  • Friday, May 31st from 7:30am-8:30am (before practice) and 12pm-2pm (after practice)

  • Monday, June 1st from 7:30am - 8:30am (before practice) and 12pm-2pm (after practice)

Parking

All guests should follow directions from the George Mason staff on where to park. Graduates will need to wear their cap and gown to be directed to the loading dock where they will be checked by security.

Accessible Seating and Parking

Accessible seating and parking are available. Let George Mason staff know when you arrive if you need accessible seating and/or parking. Seating for guests with a wheelchair and one guest to join them will be available.

No Tickets Required

There are no tickets needed for your guests! You may bring as many friends and family members as you’d like. Seating is first come, first served. Doors do not open until one hour before the ceremony (8:30am).

IMPORTANT: Eagle Bank Arena Policies and Procedures

 

Entry Inspections

• All guests and their belongings are subject to search prior to entry

• Staff will visually conduct bag and metal detection inspections to detect prohibited items to ensure the safety of all guests

• Any guest who declines to be searched or is in possession of prohibited items may be denied entry

EagleBank Arena also recommends the following tips to help expedite entry into the venue:

  • Guests are encouraged to arrive early
  • Please follow staff directions of our event staff on which items need to be removed or divested prior to passing through magnetometers
  • Guest who have health conditions which prohibit them from passing through magnetometers may flag an event supervisor for a manual screening

Bag Policy

EagleBank Arena is encouraging guests to not bring a bag. If you require a bag for your personal belongings, EagleBank Arena has adopted a clear bag policy and must adhere to the following:

Clear Bag:

• Bag must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC with no obscured inside pockets

• Bag must not exceed 12”x12”x6”

• Bag may be 1-gallon plastic zip lock style bag

Clutch Style Bag or Purse:

• Non-clear clutch style bag or purse must not exceed 5”x7”

Small Medical and/or Parenting Bags

• Will be permitted on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to increased security screening.

Prohibited (NOT ALLOWED) 

• Weapons (guns, knives, chains, spiked bracelets, brass knuckles, tasers, mace/pepper spray)

• Balloons

• Fireworks

• Cans, bottles, or coolers

• Glass or ceramic containers of any kind

• Outside food and beverages

• Metal or glass reusable water bottles

• Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia

• Laser pointers/pens

• Monopods, tripods, selfie sticks or poles

• Noisemakers such as air horns, sirens, kazoos, whistles, drums, etc.

• Animals (Except service animals. Emotional support animals will not be permitted entry.)

• Luggage

• Silly string

• Wrapped gifts or packages

• Non-collapsible umbrellas

• Drones

• Skateboards, Rollerblades, and Hoverboards

• Un-approved pamphlets, handouts, ads, etc.

Guests are welcome to bring small signs, posters, and flags for events.

The following guidelines apply: 

• Large banners are not permitted. 

Sign, banner, poster or flag may not exceed 18”x18” 

• Item must be related to the event 

• Item may not be attached to a stick/pole 

• Item may not obstruct any sponsor/building signage 

• Item may not be attached, hung, taped, or draped over any part of the building 

• Item may not contain or display obscene/offensive language and/or pictures, as determined by EagleBank Arena Management 

• Item may not be constructed or displayed in a manner that may obstruct the view of other guests, interrupt the experience of other guests, or create a safety hazard 

• Signs must be constructed of paper, fabric, or poster board materials 

• Signs may NOT be constructed of or contain plastic, wood, metal, glass, or any material that can be used as a weapon 
• Item may not be commercial or political in nature

Where to Meet Your Graduate After: 

Remember that students will not be able to bring a phone in with them or any extra items other than a key without a keychain. Please arrange a meeting spot with your graduate in advance. Graduates will be directed to exit and meet their guests at the North entrance..

Ceremony Seating

Graduates will all cross the stage from left to right. They will be seated from the beginning of the alphabet (by last name) across the full first row (on both sides) to the end of the alphabet at the back.

Graduate Arrival

Students should wear their cap and gown to be directed to the correct location where they will be checked by security (the loading dock). 

Guest Arrival

Guests should follow George Mason staff directions for parking.  Guests may enter EagleBank after 8:30 am.

Senior Debts and Dues

Senior dues can be paid through your MySchoolBucks account. Students can also stop by the sub schools (located in the offices with the Counselors and Assistant Principals on the 2nd and 3rd floor) to pay by cash or check.

To determine if you have a debt, please contact your child's subschool or ask your student to stop by the subschool office.
